Handmade Easter Eggs, Created One at a Time

Each Chokoholic Easter egg is individually moulded, assembled and finished by hand - no two are ever exactly alike.

Traditional Handmade Chocolate Eggs

Chokoholic's traditional Easter eggs begin with tempered chocolate poured carefully into two-part moulds. Each half is built up in layers, allowed to set, then released and joined together by hand - a process that requires patience and a steady attention to temperature throughout.

The result is a clean, hollow egg with a satisfying snap and the natural gloss that comes from correctly tempered chocolate. Unlike factory-produced eggs, small differences in surface texture and shell thickness are part of the artisan process rather than a sign of imperfection.

Shell weight, wall thickness and the precise moment of demoulding all affect the finished egg. Getting them right consistently takes practice - and each batch is an opportunity to refine the technique further.

Decorated Easter Eggs

Decoration transforms a plain chocolate shell into something individual. Chokoholic's decorated Easter eggs are finished using a range of techniques - hand-piped chocolate work, coloured cocoa-butter detailing, edible lustre, textured moulds and applied embellishments - depending on the design.

Some decorated eggs use transfer sheets applied directly to the chocolate surface during moulding, creating a printed effect within the shell itself. Others are hand-painted after demoulding, using cocoa butter mixed with food-safe colourings.

The decoration on each egg is applied entirely by hand, which means that no two finished eggs are identical. Pattern placement, colour intensity and the fine details of piped work all vary slightly from one egg to the next - an honest reflection of the handmade process.

Filled Easter Eggs

Some of Chokoholic's Easter eggs are more than hollow shells - they are filled with handmade chocolates, truffles, or other confectionery nestled inside the finished egg before it is sealed and presented.

The combination of the outer shell and the contents inside means that each filled egg is essentially a collection in miniature: a hollow chocolate vessel containing a selection of individually crafted pieces. Opening one reveals the handiwork twice over.

Filled eggs can be assembled with bonbons, truffles, small ganache pieces or seasonal sweets, depending on the intended occasion. The shell, the filling and the presentation are all considered together as a single finished creation.

Bespoke and Seasonal Designs

Beyond the standard seasonal range, Chokoholic creates bespoke Easter eggs designed around a specific idea, occasion or theme. A bespoke egg might be shaped to a particular size, decorated in specific colours, or paired with a chosen set of fillings to suit the person it is being made for.

Seasonal designs develop year on year, with different decorative finishes and flavour combinations explored for each Easter period.

The bespoke process begins with an understanding of what the finished piece needs to communicate - whether that is a particular aesthetic, a flavour preference, a colour scheme or an occasion. From there, the egg is designed and produced entirely by hand, from the tempered shell through to the final decoration and packaging.

Smaller Easter Chocolates

Alongside the larger egg range, Chokoholic creates a variety of smaller Easter chocolate products - seasonal shapes, novelty pieces and gift-sized confectionery that complements the eggs and work well as individual gifts or additions to an Easter collection.

These smaller pieces are produced with the same attention as the larger range: tempered by hand, moulded individually and finished with care.
